Small Business Sat 25 

Founded by American Express in 2010, Small Business Saturday takes place each year on the Saturday following Thanksgiving. American Express started the shopping event in an effort to boost spending at small businesses during the holiday season and help establishments remain open during the recession.

 

Downtown Bloomington is bringing back our “Shop. Stamp. Share.” passport for a full week of holiday shopping fun!

From Saturday, November 29th through Friday, December 5th, make purchases at participating Downtown businesses to collect stamps in your 2025 Small Business Saturday Passport. Every stamp = one entry into our Downtown giveaway. Share a photo of your passport (or turn it in in person) and you’ll be entered into a chance to win!

How it works:

Step 1 : Shop!
(Nov 29–Dec 5): Kick off on Small Business Saturday, November 29th and shop all week long at your favorite Downtown retailers, restaurants, bars, and service businesses.

Step 2 : Stamp!
After each purchase at a participating business, get that business’s stamp in your 2025 Passport. Any purchase qualifies. Each stamp = one giveaway entry (1 stamp = 1 entry; 10 stamps = 10 entries; etc.).
 
Step 3 : Share!
When you’re ready (you don’t have to fill every square!), either: Post a photo of your stamped passport and tag Downtown Bloomington to enter, or Turn in your passport at any participating business if you don’t use social media.
 
Deadline to enter: Friday, December 5th during Once Upon a Holiday First Friday & Tree Lighting.

Winner announced: Friday, December 12th on Downtown Bloomington social channels (and contacted directly).

Where to get a passport: Pick one up at any participating Downtown business while shopping on November 29th!
